Demolition, removal and clearing the way for something new
Sometimes the first stage of a project is getting rid of what's already there. Rocka Excavation undertakes house, shed and small building demolition as well as concrete demolition and removal. We can manage the demolition waste, recycling materials where practical, clear the area and undertake the earthworks required for the next stage.
Experienced with difficult access
Steep section? Limited access? Difficult terrain? There's usually a way to get the job done. Our team has extensive experience working on challenging terrain, and we have a range of machinery for different jobs and sites. Where something more specialised is required, we will work it out.
Preparing your land for building
Good preparation at the beginning can make everything that follows considerably easier. We can prepare and level building platforms to your engineer's specifications, undertake foundation excavation, supply and compact hardfill and basecourse, and complete the earthworks required for drainage and underground services.
While we're not drainlayers, we regularly work alongside other trades and can coordinate our excavation with your drainlayer, builder, engineer or surveyor. And if your project moves on to require pile foundations, our own team can take care of the piling and drilling too.
Driveway preparation and construction
Rocka Excavation can excavate and prepare new driveways and accessways, including reshaping the land, supplying hardfill and basecourse and completing the compaction required to create a solid foundation. Once the groundwork is complete, we can lay and compact the asphalt for a smooth, durable finish.
We can also arrange any drainage required for your new driveway and construct retaining walls where needed to support or reshape the surrounding land. This includes engineered retaining walls for more complex sites where additional structural support is required.

You might be trying to create usable space on a difficult section, position something large where access isn't straightforward, prepare land to take substantial machinery or work out the sequence of several different contractors. That's where experience and a bit of practical problem solving make a difference.

We have a wide range of our own machinery and established relationships with engineers, builders and other contractors. If your project requires specialist equipment we don't have – such as a large crane – we can help organise that too. Sometimes the best place to start is simply telling us what you want to do.

Underground power, water, gas and communication services need to be identified before excavation begins. Depending on the project, plans and onsite locating may be required so the work can be carried out safely around existing services.
